Tourism in Oman
Tourism can be defined as: 
Activity travel todisa entertainment and the provision of services related to such activity.
"The tourist is the person who is moving for the tourism to a distance of at least eighty kilometers from his home".
I am going to write about advantages and disadvantages of tourism and solution for the problem. Also, the future plan to improve tourism in Oman.
Why Oman is considered a good tourist destination?
Tourism has recently become one of the main
economic industries in Oman. Oman has many landscapes and places to visit like, Ibri, Nizwa, Salalah and Sohar.
There are over five hundred forts and castles in Oman and many of these have been rebuilt and restored by the government. Many of the forts are open to the public and a many the top tourist attractions. Many of Oman contains these old forts like, Muscat which has "Al Merani and Al Jalaly" forts. Bahla which has "Bahla fort …. etc".(1)
The current limit on tourists is set at 50,000 a year, but the government plans to expand that number to 10,000 in ten years and 728,000 by 2
020.(2)
Advantages of tourism;
1) Exchange the culture between countries.
2) The provision of job opportunities for Omani people in all of the sectors related to tourism.
3) It is very important for our economy because it increases the government.
4) To protect natural heritage.
5) Protect wild life and natural environment.
6) Repair and preserve historical sites and buildings.
7) "Improve the infrastructure (roads, hospitals, transport and electricity) of the country". (1)
Disadvantages of tourism:
1) Traffic jam; for example the airport and traffic becomes busy.
2) Spread of diseases.
3) Leaving rubbish at nature reserves.
4) The number of accidents is increased.
5) Mixing customs and traditions.
6) An increase in mass tourism that is not controlled responsibly can damage areas of natural beauty.
7) Tourism's bad customs can be dangerous for the local inhabitants.
8) A lot of ($) tourist income goes out of Oman.
How the government wants to improve tourism?
The Omani government is working very hard to develop and organize the activity of tourism in Oman. To
develop and organize the activity of tourism in Oman. "To develop tourism, the government built a college to graduate tourism guides"
My opinion:
In my opinion tourism has many benefits for Oman, and we need to take care of it. Also, tourism provides a higher economy for Oman. Although tourists can bring a lot of culture problem to the country, the advantages are greater than disadvantages.
